2019 WINDMILLS HOUSING, EASTON. The now completed crescent of new houses and flats, built in Portland stone and render, includes two striking tower features, reflecting historic windmills nearby.

2019WEYMOUTH PAVILION LIGHTING SCHEME  The attractive light displays give a pleasing variation of effects and make a major contribution to the night-time experience of the Esplanade and harbour areas.

2019  8-9 BOND STREET, WEYMOUTH.
Improvements to the appearance of this prominent early 19th century listed building in the heart of Weymouth Town Centre by the repair and renovation of the external fabric.

2019  20 & 20a COMMERCIAL ROAD WEYMOUTH.  This pair of early Victorian grade II listed houses has been repaired and refurbished, including the replacement of a bow window to match the existing one.

2019 BERESFORD HOUSE, CASTLE COURT, PORTLAND.

Restoration and conversion of the former Royal Naval canteen building. Built in 1926, now converted to 22 apartments.

Renewal and remodelling of the newer wing of this historic Inn.

2015 VICTORIA GARDENS GATEWAY

The gateway is a re-creation of the original 1904 gates at the entrance to Portland.

2016   8 Portland Road - Restoration

This listed house, formerly the Fisherman’s Arms Inn, is now an attractive street feature.

2016   Radipole Manor
Restoration of this important manor house, garden and terrace with fine new gateway on Radipole Lane.

2015 17A ST ALBAN ST/29 MAIDEN ST
This small Georgian building has been refurbished, enhancing this part of the town

 A group of 8 new houses on the site of a former residential home, retaining existing mature trees within a grassed area.

Conversion of a historic old Portland stone building within a conservation area from a store to an attractive one bedroom house.

2011 GOVERNOR'S GARDEN, EASTON (S).  Restoration of gardens carried out for Portland Community Partnership.

2019  48-49 THE ESPLANADE WEYMOUTH.
Restoration and conversion of the former Dorothy Inn to seven apartments, with the Rockfish Restaurant on the ground floor.

2019  41 EAST STREET, WEYMOUTH.
Renovation and conversion to two maisonettes, sympathetically maintaining the unified appearance of this important group of three historic buildings from c 1800.  

2019  NEW STEPS TO CASTLE COVE BEACH (S). The fine, sturdy new set of steps to Castle Cove Beach restored long-awaited access to this much-loved beauty spot, which became inaccessible to the public from above after a landslip several years ago.

2018  MEMORIAL GARDEN, MULBERRY AVENUE, PORTLAND (S).
Improvements to the Memorial viewing mound beside Portland Harbour near the Castle have resulted in the creation of a fine new Memorial Garden.

Refurbishment of the historic Bennett’s Shelter, 1929 chalets and careful planting.

2017 24 TRINITY ROAD
Refurbishment of this Grade 11 listed 19th Century “Old Harbour House”. - Brought into new use as a shop by the Fairbridge Trust

2018  PORTLAND OUTDOOR CENTRE, CASTLETOWN.
Refurbishment and conversion of an old Hotel to a residential outdoor adventure and field studies centre.

2016   W&PBC GARDENS AND FLOWER BEDS
The many lovely gardens are a great credit to the council and are greatly enjoyed by all.

2017 38-40 THE ESPLANADE.
Major alterations to these three prominent historic buildings, which now fit in well with their Victorian and Georgian surroundings.

2018  RESTORATION OF WEYMOUTH’S JUBILEE CLOCK.
Painstaking refurbishment of this historic Grade 2 listed landmark, including intricate painting and re-gilding.

2019  FLORAL DISPLAYS IN WEYMOUTH’S PUBLIC GARDENS   The public gardens at Greenhill, Sandsfoot, Radipole Park and elsewhere were created, and maintained to a superb standard throughout the season, by the Weymouth Council Parks and Open Spaces staff.

2019  KING GEORGE III’S STATUE AND THE SEAFRONT SHELTERS. Restoration of the 1809 King George III’s statue and seven Victorian seafront shelters was carried out by the former Weymouth and Portland Borough Council. The painstaking work included the highly skilled application of much gold leaf.


2019   HANGING FLOWER BASKETS – WEYMOUTH TOWN CENTRE.

This year the Weymouth BID group have expanded on their existing theme, with nearly 300 hanging baskets provided and maintained by a contractor.  These attractive and colourful displays have enhanced the experience of town centre shopping throughout the year.
